telepathy real ?

many people say they get this gut feeling about impending events or accidents to their dear ones ? they are not faking . they dont need to. so is it real?  here is an explanation. a pseudo scientific one.

our thoughts are radio waves too. and they are transmitted or radiated just like any other signal. and each one has his own frequency.  if these frequencies or their harmonics match then one gets tuned into another man's thought wave. and he feels the other man's thoughts. but these thought signals are very low intensity radiations. and the frequency range-- i mean the carrier frequency-- is very big. so this happens rarely.

rash driving

let us try documenting the incidents of rash driving.
not in the hope that they will be punished . but to bring
home the fact nothing goes unnoticed. especially the
wrong things.
ernakulam. october 24 , 2013.  around 11.35 a m.
city bus no. 1852 ( i could not note down the
complete number. ) going to maneka side applies
sudden brake near the general hospital. probably to
pick up a passenger.
scooter ( kl 42 /  8026 ) coming behind the bus just
manages to avoid a collision but skids in the process.
scooter tilts  and the lady sitting at the back falls on the
road. great luck that no vehicle came behind.  no serious
injuries . only bruises on the elbow.
the bus driver did not stop. he was probably not even
aware.
i brought the incident to the notice of a traffic police
officer in the near by junction.
why was the bus driven so carelessly ?  an answer today
may help us tomorrow.

yet another girl

another girl manhandled. in ernakulam. in broad day light.
in a running  bus . with passengers.

but this time around the girl phoned her parents.
they alerted the police. who took prompt action.

welcome change indeed

but the passengers. they  remained passive. and probably
enjoyed . just like those t v  serials.

there is something that is really wrong with us.
not only with those men. all of us including you
the ladies. 

are we scared ?  most probably  yes

environment protection and things

environment protection is a double edged sword. it cuts both ways.
 it is thru exploitation of natural resources which we now call
 environment that we progresed. ( what sort of progress it  is
 is a different question ). this is what the advanced counties did.
 now they sit back and say u dont do it. there is immense selfishness
 and dirty politics behind environmentalism.

the other side is that whatever is left of environment needs to
 be protected . in the long term interest of the world.
 but then there should be adequate compensation.
in better terms than carbon credit.

coming to western ghats my own personal selfish view is
 that a little laxity in the implementation gadgill report is
not all that bad. let us take care of the immediate future.
distant future is capable of caring for itself. even if it is not,
 there is pretty little we can do. so let us do what we can.
let us not do attempt what cant easily pull off. a little
selfishness is not bad . it is our birth right.

why die of hunger when food is aplenty

poverty is many things. but lack of food comes first.
 but it is not becoz there is shortage of food in the world.
the problem is distribution.
cant we think of a system where food items  move  freely
across borders ? no restrictions. no levies. no import export
formalities. no checking. no stopping. no delay. just free flow.
only for eatables.
of course free of cost too . and free transportaion if we have the will.
just for food. to help every one eat. to ensure no one dies of hunger.

will the fan go the filament bulb way ?

sundays are  for cleaning . both the mind and the house.
some of the  thinngs  i pushed out of my mind are already
on these pages.  now it is the turn of the house.

i crawled up to that creepy store room above the kitchen .
lo and behold . there glows a filament bulb. i thought it
had become extinct. may be that i missed this one at the
remotest corner of my house when i replaced all the filament
type bulbs two years back. with cfl  bulbs and later with led tubes.

in fact what were these filament bulbs doing ? eat up a lot of
electric power, heat up its filament and give us a little bit of
light  . and a lot of heat . which i can feel here in the store room.
 so these filament bulbs deserved to be thrown out .

what about the fans which adorn  our rooms ? what do they
really do ?

eat up a lot of power , about 100 w , and swing the air
in circles. i really dont understand how it helps in cooling
the room or giving  any relief to the sweltering heat. except
may be dry out the sweat faster whcih will help further
sweating and when that too dries out  we feel somesort
of relief. more feigned than real.

isnt it  time that the fan joined the filament bulb in the extinct club ?
to be replaced by air conditioners if u really want to cool the room
or nothing if u can manage it by opening up the windows and
allowing cooler outside air to come in. or better still designing
the house to allow this free flow of wind in all the rooms.
